Group launches silica resource site
Silver Spring, MD – A website launched by the Center for Construction Research and Training aims to educate workers on how to control silica and lower the risk of silicosis.
Work Safely with Silica features tips and tools to assist workers and contractors in identifying silica hazards, understanding health risks, and finding methods to control silica dust.
Among the features on the site are an e-tool to allow users to create a job-specific plan for controlling silica at their worksite and a tutorial explaining the dangers of silica.
The Center for Construction Research and Training, also known as CPWR, is affiliated with the AFL-CIO.
