How do I use the Library?
The Library is open to the public but offers NSC members personalized services, including targeted search requests, referrals to NSC safety experts and outside resource suggestions.
Many members call or e-mail the Library, but they also can conduct their own search using the Library's online catalog. If a search result does not provide a direct URL, please contact the Library with the accession numbers of the documents of interest. Unless a copyright restriction exists, Library staff will fax or mail you copies. (At this time, copyright laws prevent the Library from scanning documents and sending them electronically.)
Members also can sign up for monthly "Library Alerts" – a select bibliography of newly added documents to the collection. Members can choose from workplace, traffic, and home and community topics, or request all three.
