Webinar to discuss government’s nanotech safety strategy

Washington – The National Nanotechnology Initiative is scheduled to host a webinar Oct. 20 to discuss the federal government’s 2011 strategy for research on the environmental, health and safety aspects of nanomaterials.

The free webinar will be an open forum for interested parties to ask questions related to the release of the 2011 NNI Environmental, Health, and Safety Research Strategy (.pdf file). A draft of the strategy was released in December and provides information to federal agencies for producing research data to ensure a safe and effective use of nanotechnology.

The official strategy will be released on the day of the webinar.
