Wyoming OSHA warns of ‘compliance package’ scam

Cheyenne, WY – Wyoming businesses are being warned about a telephone scam that attempts to persuade business owners to pay for an OSHA “compliance package.”

Callers who say they are from the “U.S. Federal Labor Compliance” are warning employers that their business will undergo an OSHA inspection if they do not pay for the $249.50 package. Such claims are false, according to the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services, which issued the warning about the scam on March 25.

Any Wyoming business that receives such a phone call should contact local authorities and call DWS at (877) WORK-WYO.
