FMCSA advisory committee to meet in April

​Washington – The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s Motor Carrier Safety Advisory Committee is scheduled to meet (.pdf file) April 8-10 in Alexandria, VA, to discuss several ongoing tasks.

Among them:

  • The committee’s progress (.docx file) on issuing recommendations for minimum training requirements for entry-level commercial motor vehicle operators
  • The Compliance, Safety, Accountability subcommittee’s preliminary work on evaluating CSA’s effectiveness and issuing recommendations for improvement (.docx file)
  • The current status of FMCSA’s Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program and requirements for states to adopt and enforce federal regulations to continue receiving funding

A full agenda will be available at the MCSAC website prior to the meeting, which will be open to the public. Members of the public who wish to submit written comments must do so by April 2.
