“Lt. Szymczyk designed a safety release program around education and training to prevent incidents from recurring. Any employee who is involved in a near miss or true incident must go through it. A safety committee meeting is conducted to discuss the incident and ensure statements are accurate. After, specific educational and training remediation is assigned to the employee involved. Follow-up on the remediation education and training will be addressed before the employee is fully released to be back in the field.”
