“In 2021, Sarah recognized the criticality of building and maintaining a sustainable employee engagement program. She developed a global safety observation program to encourage employees to report safety concerns or suggestions, and escalate them to their manager for tracking and resolution. Sarah initiated a pilot networkwide, covering 48 sites within 11 countries, which generated tens of thousands of suggestions. She gained insights from the actions to resolve. Pilot data also indicated a positive impact on both the recordable injury rate and total incident rate. As a result, the application was granted approval for implementation throughout all Amazon sites globally beginning in the second quarter of 2022.”
