“Usman did an incident analysis of the past three years that includes all the injuries and fires. Based on analysis of all root causes and investigation reports, Usman analyzed that 80% of incidents are related to individual training and behavior issues. Usman developed and launched a behavior-based safety contact audit program for the whole site. As part of this program, every management employee does a 30-minute safety round of his area on a monthly basis. The management employee observes the acts of the workers, reinforces the safe behaviors and counsels/trains/closes the unsafe observations at the spot.”
