OSHA asks for input on GHS for UN meetings

Washington — OSHA has scheduled a public meeting for Nov. 15 in advance of the United Nations Sub-Committee of Experts on the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals.

During the virtual meeting, set for 1 p.m. Eastern, OSHA will gather comments and other information to “be considered in development of the positions of the U.S. government regarding proposals submitted by countries represented on the subcommittee.” The UN’s GHS subcommittee is scheduled to meet Dec. 6-8 in Geneva, Switzerland. 

Also, the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration will conduct a meeting at 9 a.m. Eastern on Nov. 15 in advance of the UN’s 63rd session on the transport of dangerous goods – set for Nov. 27-Dec. 6 in Geneva.
